War Cry 2009-10
In less than a few days you will begin a new journey towards discovering who you are in Christ and what he has for you. I challenge you to spend some time examining your heart and asking the Lord to reveal the things that may get you off of focus once here. Write those things down and be aware of them. In my experience, the more honest we are about our struggles and our “issues” the quicker the Lord works. It is all in surrender.
The War College is a year that you may or may not have again. When was the last time you were able to devote extended amount of time seeking after the Lord and being stretched? A lot of the growth you will experience will be based on the community you will be involved in.
A note about community…we don’t choose the community, God chooses it for us, we just need to learn to love and embrace that community. It all starts with discovering who you are, and realizing that those around you are called to love you just how you are. If God wants you to change, He will. He is so much bigger than all of us. His plans are sovereign, His love is amazing, He never sets us up to fail. Will you trust Him through this year of stretching? Will you surrender to Him, will you become fully abandoned to the one who loves you so much. He is waiting for you. Are you ready for Him?
